When you feel stuck in life, do this!
We often find ourselves stuck.
Confined to a static state. Be it our career, life or pretty much anything that holds weight in our lives. And while there can be many reasons for the "why?"- "Why are we stuck?". What we can't seem to figure out is the "how?". "How can we get unstuck while the world moves ahead?".
It's like we're in a room filled with everything connected and close to us, and we keep looking for the answers within the room itself. We keep telling ourselves that the solution has to lie in the things that seem closest to the problem. But, the closer we look, the more difficult it becomes to get clarity and perspective. We're too close to the problem to find the solution.
The solution could lie in Walking away for a brief period. When we open another door or even look out the window, digging into something new can, in many ways, open our minds to clear all the clutter from our stasis and help us find clarity. It's like what Walt Disney said,
"We keep moving forward. Opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious, and curiosity keeps leading down new paths".
But, what I've realised is that opening up newer paths of exploration makes the older paths a lot clearer. So, next time you find yourself stuck.. look away and explore something new to find clarity in what you have. I guess that's why they say, "Distance makes the heart grow fonder" I believe it also makes your perspective clearer.
