My Children

My children,

It is easy to stay silent,

to look away,

to choose fear

to be indifferent

to choose what seems easier,..

to tell yourself you are helpless..

But, Character is a choice

To do the right thing even when it's hard.

To not let fear drive you

To listen, without being blinded

To not let indifference overcome you.

Because doing and saying the right thing is inconvenient, costly, or invisible...but it is essential.

Because, character isn't measured by what you believe. It's measured by what you do...and stand for.
