Being Human is more important now than ever before.
(This is not a note about AI. I think we all have enough of that around us to consume. This is about being human again. )
To just be able to be bored
To be able to sit in silence
To feel the taste of freshly made food and let that linger a little longer.
To be able to feel the sun on our face,
watch the trees touch the sky
or maybe just sit in the sand
and let your toes dig inside.
To walk along the water on the beach
Or run through a muddy path
Without tracking your heart rate
Just feel it beat inside.
To laugh alone
or with a few who feel like yours
To hug to hold
To touch
To be able to not plug in that much
To be human is to be able
To sit alone in a room with your thoughts
And not run away to pickup that phone on the table.
(lets be honest,.. we've forgotten what being truly human is. And it's important we remind ourselves of it from time to time.)

Couldn't agree more. I have been thinking about how anything that leads to decision/ analysis paralysis is going to slowly make people shift to the old ways. For example - the "power of choice" that Netflix has provided in consuming media - has started to feel less of a power and more analysis work as to what is the most optimum thing to watch. I don't mind going back to sitting in front of TV to watch a show exactly at 9.30 pm on a Saturday - because easier to decide and also time box.
