1-1-1: Finding Focus, letting go of Fixations, and holding on to What We Long For
1-Thought-Starter
“We drift from focus to focus, but that doesn't mean we can't focus. It just means we can't focus on only one thing. It's the variety that keeps us going. There is no 'one size fits all, and no 'one focus fits all'.”

1-Insight
Problems can appear at times like a whirlpool, surrounding you entirely and pulling you in deeper. From the small, mundane ones to the bigger, life-altering ones; it’s easy to get sucked in and start seeing problems that don’t exist. Swim back to the surface, and focus on the present (and what’s in front of you). Don’t let the overthinker in you take over!
1-Recommendation
Do you find yourself wistfully thinking of a different life or possibilities even when things seem to be going well? Especially on those rainy days or while listening to sad songs. Author CS Lewis calls this “the inconsolable longing for we know not what”.
Though it may be counterintuitive, don’t fight this feeling or longing you have in you. Stay with it, ponder upon it, explore it. Ask yourself “What am I longing for?” Because it may lead you to tap into something sublime and beautiful. You may be able to access a deep pool of creativity.
